My best friend is one of the prettier girls at school, and it kills me how all the guys I am interested in become interested in her and how they don’t even notice I exist.

I felt like this in high school. It took me til college to realize that “pretty” or at least the pretty that gets attention, is all confidence. I never thought I was beautiful til I was out from under her shadow. It’s all about letting yourself shine in you’re own unique way, and finding happiness and confidence within you. Then what the boys think won’t matter. In fact, they’ll probably come running to you.
